traditions and customs
Traditions and customs address the fine details that go into making each culture unique. Some motions in one culture can be interpreted in a completely different way in another. For example, in the US when we have a meeting with someone older than us, we extend our hand for a handshake. However, in Korea it is customary to let the older person initiate the handshake and for us to use both hands to shake theirs. This is just one of the many examples of how vastly cultures can differ, and each difference contributes to the details of the big picture of culture itself.
